Non-Profit Organization (NPO) Ogasawara-ryuEOgasawara-school was founded in February 2008 to support Ogasawara-ryu.

Kiyomoto Ogasawara, son of the headmaster of the Ogasawara school is the chairman of the NPO Ogasawara-ryuEOgasawara-school.

The purpose of this NPO is to preserve the traditions and cultures of Ogasawara-ryu (ceremonial etiquette, archery, mounted archery).

Ogasawara-ryu has over 800 years of tradition going back to the beginning of the Kamakura period.

However, it is difficult to keep up the tradition in this day and age.

Therefore, Kiyotada Ogasawara, the headmaster of the Ogasawara school decided to establish this NPO to create an environment where the tradition is handed down to the next generation.

So, the main activities of this NPO are to provide many people, especially children with experience of Ogasawara-ryu, and to make an environment where apprentices concentrate on practice.
